Driven by a passion for storytelling, Joel recognizes the power of connections and relationships in building cultural understanding. Joel is a Cultural Data Analyst with a background in innovation across various industries, including e-commerce and microbreweries. He holds dual Master's degrees in Global Innovation Management from IAE Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management and North Carolina State University on Design Thinking and Voice of Customer studies. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at Universidad Ana G. Méndez in Puerto Rico, where he was a Department of Homeland Security Scholar in Food Safety and Defense.
Prior to his current role at Envisfy, Joel worked as Brand Manager and Product Manager. His global perspectives allow him to draw from a rich and diverse pool of multicultural references. He knows that connecting with customers authentically begins with understanding how people communicate and leverages those storytelling skills to analyze what customers think (and what they don’t say). Known for his candor, relationship-building, and generous spirit, he is dedicated to helping companies develop sustainable and inclusive communications.
Outside of work, you will find Joel writing a novel, attending concerts, or coming in second place at Trivia Nights.
